Since when did protesting become something the Republicon MAGA right wing nuts speak of with distain?  It seems they only criticize their political opponents.  Screaming at the top of their lungs about violence and blaming all the crimes on the protesters.  Of course, it's always the evil Democrats who are looting and burning.  Which is utterly false. At the same time they defend the violence and pardoning of the January 6th rioters.   Who were flying Trump banners at the same time.  Law and order, indeed!

These are the same “people” that display their flags every Flag Day, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day as if that makes them better than those who are protesting.  These are the people who speak of protestors as if they are doing something bad, and should be deported.   The same people who scream about following the Constitution, which specifically protects freedom of speech and protest.

In other words: "Let Them Eat Cake…"  Oh yeah, I remember, Only Tramp can fix it!  While Tramp and his Republicon enablers trash the economy of the entire world needlessly.  Perhaps harsh and sweeping arbitrary tarrifs wasn't such a great idea.  Those of us who aren't billionaires would hope our elected leaders were more experienced with such matters that affect the economy.

The man called Trump never worked for anyone else a day in his life.  Tramp and his minion DOGEbags love to fire perfectly good productive government employees without any attempt to identify any "waste, fraud, or abuse".

Lately we have been hearing a new rhetorical talking point from the party that has been espousing their supposed “transparency”.  These Trumpy Republicons now specify they want educational admissions, political candidates and appointments, and governmental “deep state” positions to be “merit-based”.

You have to ask the Republicons to define their language these days.  We know how they like to make things up and this often results in a different meaning for words than the rest of us.  As of late, we don’t really know exactly what they mean by “merit-based”.

Common Sense Gaslighting

Since Donald Trump’s takeover of the Republicon Party in 2016, he has gained considerable political capital by complaining about problems while offering no legal or practical path forward to solutions.  Blaming their political opponents’ “policies” for every issue and problem seems to have attracted a lot of low information voters to their party.

Fast forward, after the November election, here in January 2025, we now see that “common sense” is the new catch phrase for the Republicon Party.  Lately, it seems like every day we have to endure this new wave of gaslighting. Of course, the implication is that anyone who disagrees with their agenda does not have “common sense”.   Whatever it is, no matter how crazy or ridiculous the subject, merely stating that phrase somehow makes it true.

For instance, when the orange Tramp announces that Canada or Greenland will be annexed into the US as a state, instead of consulting with those educated with such matters, it can be easily explained as “common sense”.

As Election Day grows ever closer, candidates often resort to desperate and questionable campaign activities.  Sometimes these activities can backfire, as Michael Dukakis can attest.  It was a sad, almost comedic commercial when he paraded down the road in an Army tank, with his head sticking out the top, smiling face, suit and tie, a scene only a mother could love.

A couple of weeks ago, Kamala Harris mentioned that she had worked at McDonalds cooking French fries while she was in college.  Not to be ignored, Donnie the trust fund child projected that Harris was lying.  Of course, we have no reason to doubt Harris, and have every reason to fact check the person who lies on a daily basis with a straight face while on camera.
